I Idly open old files, and found some notes of the answer of daily tests of Islamic subjects in my 1st Semester at Biology UM, in addition to questions about the phenomenon of secularism, and Democracy in Islam, the other question is about the scientific tradition in Islam. Here's an answer that I wrote, I share this short article, I hope it bring some benefits. :)

Allah SWT says: “Allah SWT berfirman: “Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding” (ali imron 190).

Islam is a religion that upholds rationality, Allah also promised to raise the rank of the people with knowledge.  Because of that, in the 7th to 14th AD, there so many Muslim thinkers. They sought to explore the content of the Qur'an.

Beware of Secularism

Posted in , , ,

I Idly open old files, and found some notes of the answer of daily tests of Islamic subjects in my 1st Semester at Biology UM, in addition to questions about the scientific tradition in Islam, and Democracy in Islam, the other question is about the phenomenon of secularism. Here's an answer that I wrote, I share to all readers, though short, I hope it bring some benefits. :)

The battle between religious values and secular values have been increasingly evident in recent years, as a student I would not be compromise on secularism, because in fact Islam is perfect, it has set all kinds of rules about people. In Islam has set about man's relationship with God, with other human beings and human beings with the environment. So it is necessary for us to use only the values of religion without the slightest accept the values of non-religious (secular).

Mitosis: The Phase of Mitosis

Posted in , , , ,
Mitosis is cell division that occurs indirectly Setjo (2004)said, Mitotic cell division is not occurs directly, there is a certain stages. These stages (phases) are present in mitotic include: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase

Mitosis occurs in somatic cells that are meristematic, which are cells that are growing (the root tip and stem end). The mitotic division process produces two identical daughter cells, and aims to maintain the same number of chromosome pairs.

For example, mitosis in plants occurs for 30 minutes to several hours and is part of a continuous process and constantly. On practical activities in secondary schools is usually used roots of onion (Allium cepa) because the root tissue of red onion (Allium cepa) is a tissue that is easy to be explored for the observation of mitosis (Sugiri, 1992).

Talking about DNA, mostly of us imagine something so abstract and very small. Especially about the isolation of DNA, often thought its a very complicated process with very sophisticated tools. Whereas DNA isolation is not always so, there is some simple DNA isolation technique that effective enough for isolating DNA, not only simple in procedure, even the materials used are easily obtained from the surrounding environment. The technique is suitable for introduction of the DNA with lab activity MTs / SMP (junior high school) also MA / SMA (senior high school) students.

DNA (Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid) is a master molecule (main molecule) that encodes all the information needed for metabolic processes in any organism (Jamilah, 2005).
